Merry Christmas (in July)!

On Friday, July 19th, our Couple’s Nite is getting festive. Pair up and join us for our Christmas in July event in support of the Sauble FireFighters Association.

Come dressed in your Christmas-best to play 9 holes starting at 5pm, with a wonderful dinner to follow.

Take a few of your Christmas decorations from the basement or attic and bring them along too; Christmas gifts–prizes– will be given to the couple with the best-decorated golf cart, and to the best Christmas-dressed couple.

Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the gift giving, so please bring an unwrapped toy, gift card or donation for the Sauble FireFighter’s Toy Drive. The cost of the event is just a donation to the Toy Drive, and $60 per couple for dinner.

This year, the Sauble Firefighters are requesting gifts suitable for teenagers ages 14-19. Often, this age group is overlooked when "toy drive" comes to mind, but the need is certainly still there.

"We're thinking gift cards, Tim Cards, iTunes cards, things like that," said Rich Moore, a firefighter with the the Sauble Beach Fire Department.

Other items suited to teens include sports equipment, art supplies, personal care items, backpacks, books, and gift cards for the movie theatre or other local attractions or stores.

After the donations are collected at our tournament, they will be sent to the Wiarton Fire Station to be sorted alongside the donations from other local toy drives. The Wiarton Salvation Army will then distribute all the wonderful donations to local families in need over the Christmas holidays.
