Sauble & Area Medical Clinic Fundraising Tournament

Looking for a way to get active in your community? Trying to find time to get out on the links?

The Sauble & Area Medical Clinic Fundraising Tournament is the perfect opportunity to help your community from out on the greens.

Join us for a full day on Saturday, July 27th and help raise funds for our local Medical Clinic, which is a non-profit charitable organization.

The tournament is $95 per person and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf (including power carts), and a great buffet dinner to follow.

Cecil Groves, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Sauble Health and Business Centre (Sauble Area Medical Clinic Inc.), commented, “All of the money from the golf course as well as any other fundraising we do, 100% goes to the medical clinic. It all goes back to the community.”

With that in mind, you’ll feel good throwing your name into the raffles, or putting your bid on the great silent auction items up for grabs. There’s other prizes to be won too, including one of TWO chances to win $10,000 for a “first” hole-in-one on #4. That prize could go out to two lucky people!

When discussing the incredible $10,000 prize with Groves, Ellen Farrow recalled that just last year two members golfing together shot a hole-in-one on hole #4. She said, “During the tournament, when we had the hole-in-one for the $10,000 prize, they all shot and everybody missed. The next day, two of our members shot a hole-in-one on #4.”

As she reminded us, “People can do it! These guys were looking in the bush, trying to find their ball, and can’t find it until…oh, it’s in the cup!”

Even if you don’t manage to capture the hole-in-one prize, participating in this tournament translates directly to feel-good positive impact in our community. The Sauble Medical Clinic is proving to be an incredible headquarters for health and wellbeing, as it now hosts a wide range of tenants offering an even wider range of services.

The Sauble Family Health Team, Sauble Hair Waves Hairdressers and Beauty Salon, Sauble Beach Chiropractic and Registered Massage Therapy, and Sauble Beach Yoga all currently operate from the Medical Clinic.

There is also 3200 square feet of available space still in the building. The funds raised by the tournament and their other fundraising endeavours will help continue the renovations necessary to allow more businesses to come to the center.

If you’d like to contribute to the work of the Medical Clinic beyond participating in the tournament, there are plenty of wonderful options for personal and corporate contributions.

The golf tournament has 5 different sponsorship options if your business would like to show its support to the community and be advertised at the tournament:

Dinner Sponsor- $650.00

Beverage Cart Sponsor- $250.00

The Sauble Medical Clinic also runs a 100% charitable indoor garage sale at the Sauble Community Center every Saturday from 8am until 2pm until the end of October. You can support them by browsing the sale, or by donating items to be sold in the sale. **

Beyond that, Chairman Cecil Groves said, “This charitable organization is strictly run by volunteers that look after the whole complex […] we are always looking for volunteers, we are looking for people to go on our board […] we are open to people with different ideas.”

If you or someone you know is interested in bringing their ideas to the table, and volunteering with the Sauble Medical Clinic, get in touch with Cecil Groves via phone or email.

If you’d like to register yourself or a foursome for the fundraising tournament on July 27th, come by the Proshop or give us a call, 519-422-1699.
