Club Championship Coming Up Fast

The second half of August is upon us. The sun sets just a little earlier every day, and the humidity that lingered for July has lifted. Mother Nature seems to hint that summer is winding down soon, so we’re enjoying the great weather while we still can– and what better way to soak it in than with a celebratory 2 days of play.

Join us for our annual Club Championship, taking place on Thursday, August 22nd and Friday, August 23rd. If you have a 20-game handicap to work with, stop by the Proshop before the 19th and sign yourself up!

The 36-hole tournament (18 per day) will be organized into one division for women, and three age bracket divisions for men. The groups are as follows:

59 and under will hit from the black tees
60-69 year olds will shoot from the white tees
69+ will tee off the golds

On Friday, the second day of the championship, the groups will be organized by their performance on the first day.

To compliment the championship rounds, which are sure to be incredible, the clubhouse is serving a delicious (and summery!) lunch on Thursday and an extra special early dinner on Friday. The cost of participating in the championship is just $35 to cover the cost of the meals, and the rest is taken care of.

The trophy and prizes presentation will follow dinner on Friday to cap off the two days of fun. Trophies will be awarded to those with the lowest gross score in each division, and there will also be trophies for the lowest net score (score plus handicap) in the 59 and under age bracket, and the women’s division. Sauble Golf will also be donating prizes to add even more fun to the event.
